A very interesting and fun tour In Naples
Had a great half day tour with Firorella in Naples. She is extremely knowledgeable, interesting and fun to be with. We visited a number of sites in the city including churches, the underground city and walked along the historical center. She gave us a great insight into the city and pointed out many things we may have missed on our own. We bonded over a shared love of good, local food and she took us to a number of her favorite places to taste different food and also gave us many great recommendations.
Would highly recommend a tour with her.

Elena Ferrante’s Naples tour!
I chose an Elena Ferrante tour as a birthday gift for my mother. Francesca Siniscalchi has been a tremendous guide. She knows everything about the novel and locate every important aspect of the main characters’ life on the original places, linking them to Napoli’s history and nowadays’ life. A very keen driver accompanied us during the whole tour and succeeded in defeating occasional traffic jams. At the end of our 2,5h tour, not only had we perfectly followed the footsteps of Lenu & Lila, but we also had a perfect view of the map of the city and what we still had to discover in depth! A must see for all the Amica Geniale’s lovers! A tremendous alternative way to discover the city!

Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum
Just returned from a great week in Italy and two amazing days in Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum. Fiorella was a fantastic guide through the streets, markets, churches, archaeological sites and tasty food on the streets of the historic town. Truly a local, she wove tons of local lore into a whole day of informative and fun strolling the city, and she shared her favorite artisans and foods with a genuine enthusiasm, great access to special sights and good humor – I felt like it was a day spent with an old friend sharing her absolute favorite things. She was also a huge help arranging things for my wife and 15-yr old son who had to join us later after a passport snafu – what a life-saver. Then we spent a day with Alberto touring Pompeii and Herculaneum with a splendid restaurant meal in Herculaneum at Viva Lore Ercolano. Alberto was so knowledgeable and ethusiastic, we learned a ton and felt very special. What a great couple of days!

Fiorella was fantastic!
My neighbor suggested that a trip to Southern Italy absolutely should include time with Fiorella in Naples versus heading directly to the Amalfi Coast–excellent advice! Fiorella’s love of Naples and its environs was obvious in the all of the wonderful sites that she shared with us. Fiorella was witty, fun, articulate, knowledgeable, and intuitive. Her fantastic suggestions led us to other fabulous sites even as our tours with her had ended.

Pompeii + Naples Museum: a highlight of our Italy vacation!
I wrote this as a thank you to our guide, Fiorella, but I’ll post it as a heartfelt review as well!
It seems like it has been many months since Debby and I had the great pleasure of spending a day with you in Pompeii and Naples. Before meeting you, we had visited Amalfi, and after our tour we continued on with Rome, Florence, a few hill towns and lastly Venice.
Our tour with you was a true memorable highlight of the entire trip, and the conclusion of a lifelong dream to experience Pompeii. Seriously! Thank you for all your kindness and warmth, but most of all for your depth of knowledge and your enthusiasm is answering our many questions. You made it real, you made it substantive, and you made it exhilirating.
I’m so very glad we signed up for continuing the tour with the museum in Naples. Having done that, I can’t now imagine touring Pompeii without also seeing so many of the glorious treasures that have been preserved from there. The gorgeous murals (e.g., the big toe made of six tiny stones), sculpture and building types all give so much depth to trying to understand Pompeii and its times. Debby was particularly struck by the everyday objects (kitchen uitensils, glassware, metal cooking pots) that are so poignant.
Back in present times, it was great fun to have lunch with you in Naples, where, we learned, everyone knows you! And while we are terribly dedicated to our hometown Chicago deep-dish style of pizza, you’ve given us something to think about. The very concept of an anchovy and lemon pizza was utterly alien to us, but I’m glad you gently coaxed us into that. It was delicious, and the biggest problem now is trying to find any place here who makes that!

Alberto – Fantastic!
We signed up for two tours, one of old Naples and the other of Pompeii with Alberto. Both were fantastic and we were consistently blown away by his knowledge of both the history and architecture. Nothing was scripted and we had the opportunity to pick and choose what we wanted to visit/see. You can ask him anything, he’ll know the answer and was always so kind and patient with our questions. Highly recommended!

Book Immediately – Best Tour Ever – Fiorella is GREAT
Caring, thoughtful, articulate, energetic and fun! Fiorella loves her city and works to make sure that everyone else does too. She is one of those rare guides who continually reads the face of each of her guests to make sure they are happy. She repositions quickly and thereby ensures that everyone enjoys themselves. We booked her for a half day tour and ended up asking if she could possibly extend our tour to include the next day – she did and we loved every minute.

Fantastic day at Pompeii and the Archaeological Museum
Francesca was an excellent guide for our day visiting Pompeii, then a quick lunch, and a visit to the Archaeological Museum with an emphasis on the items taken from Pompeii to the museum. Three of the five of us adults had been to Pompeii before and have a real academic interest in this history. The other two were on their first visit. We all rated this an excellent visit. Francesca answered all our questions and provided a wealth of information in a way that held the interest of all of us. We were glad we began early in the morning as Francesca helped us navigate the increasing crowds (even in late October). We had excellent service over the internet in planning this day–many tours have a very short visit to Pompeii and we were able to schedule more time since the site was our primary interest. And we recommend paying for transportation in order to have more time and less stress for what is a long day. We highly recommend the combined visit as a way to really understand Pompeii.

Walking Food Tour of Naples
We were in Naples for a couple of days during a 2 week trip through Italy. As we had heard that Naples can be a challenging city for tourists, we booked a walking tour of the city along with food tasting. Our guide, Alice, was just fantastic!!! She had a great personality and you could tell she truly loved Naples and her job as a tour guide. She was excellent with our 2 kids, ages 9 and 12, and did a nice job explaining the history of Naples, including the underground city and the Pulcinella. She also kept us from going hungry taking us for stops for granitas and espresso, Naples chocolate, arancini, pizza frite, and many other tasty treats. All in all we had a fantastic time on our 3 hour walking tour and I would highly recommend this company and Alice to anyone visiting Naples!

Tour of Naples
This tour was absolutely INVALUABLE to our time in Naples. Honestly, we learned more, saw more and experienced more than if we had just been bumbling along on our own. I wish we could have had her on hand for our entire trip!
If you do nothing else in Naples, BOOK this tour!!

An Unforgettable Day!
We LOVE this company!!! Alice was our food and theatre expert and read our interests extremely well. The morning we spent together was the absolute highlight of our time in Naples. She is professional and at the same time extremely vibrant. We cannot stop talking about Naples and Alice.

Napoli che bella!
We had a totally excellent experience with Vesuvius vs Pompeii Tours. We had 4 1/2 day trips to 1) Baia, Posillipo, Cuma with Valentina e Antonio, 2) Caserta with Fiorenza, 3) Archeological Museum & 4) Walk in Naples with Fiorella who finally persuaded us that Caravaggio was a genius. All of the guides were incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. They have great depth of expertise in Art History and in the case of Valentina – volcanology. They showed us parts of Naples and its surroundings I would never have known about otherwise. They introduced us to people and experiences which I will never forget. All of the guides were truly exceptional. I can’t say enough about how wonderful they are — and I am very particular..

Pompeii Tour, Drive to Sorrento
The guide, Alberto, and his driver Salvatore picked us up promptly from our hotel in Naples. We enjoyed a very interest 2 1/2 hour tour with Alberto. I had toured Pompeii on my own 30 years ago, but having a knowledgeable guide was a superior experience. Salvatore drove us on to Sorrento. We were so happy with the experience that we hired this company to drive us back from Sorrento to Naples. Definitely recommend it.

RUN though the city!
My sister, cousin and I did a private tour of Naples with this company and absolutely LOVED it. We were on a tight timeline and the guide did a fantastic job being responsive to what we wanted to do, set realistic timelines, and also kept it fun and entertaining.
Our guide was very charismatic and charming – everyone in the city seemed to love her! As an extension, we got to have some fun with the locals as well.
I would highly recommend doing the tour on your first day in Naples to get a lay of the land or if you want to see it all in a short time! I would do another private tour with our guide if we came back – she was FANTASTIC!

Elena Ferrante Tour
This was a great tour with a charming & knowledgeable guide, who showed us the Naples featured in the Elena Ferrante books, and sides of naples which tourists don’t often visit.

Terrific
My husband and I are spending a month in Rome (we are American) and wanted a day trip to Pompeii. We know Rome’s best guide — Olivia Ercoli –and asked her to help us. Olivia was busy — being the best of course– but she referred us to Fiorella. Fiorella referred us to her husband Alberto and organized everything perfectly for us. We arrived from Rome by train and Alberto had a fantadtic driver Francesco pick us up and drive us to Pompeii where Alberto was waiting. Alberto speaks the King’s English (having studied in London for 3 years) and is a true historian. He walked us around for 2 hours and filled us with the best information. Francesco was there to wisk us back to the train station. Cannot say enough about the professionalism and kindness of this company.

Excellent Elena Ferrante tour
Having read the Neopolitan novels of Elena Ferrante, our book group (14 people) organised a trip to the Naples area and booked the Elena Ferrante tour. What a fantastic day we had with our wonderful guide Fiorella! It was so interesting to see all the places we had read about in the books. Fiorella was a most informative and entertaining guide. In addition to taking us to places relevant to the books she gave us a wonderful insight into the city of Naples and its people, which was a great introduction for us.Thank you, Fiorella, for a most enjoyable day. Thanks also to Alex for organising the tour and the transport from and to our villa. We thoroughly recommend this tour.

You MUST use this company. 5-star service, great tour!
We recently used vesuvius vs Pompeii tours during a Disney Mediterranean cruise. They have several options, including tours of Pompeii, Naples, and Vesuvius.
I was impressed with the speed that our emails and questions were returned. We were given several options and ended up doing a tour of Pompeii and Naples.
We were picked up promptly at 8:30AM from the ship. The van was new, comfortable, and had air conditioning throughout. Be careful with booking other companies, as another company we used at the Civitavecchia stop said the van had A/C, but it barely worked. Driver was very nice, didn’t speak much English, but was an excellent and safe driver.
Our tour guide was excellent. Very enthusiastic. Talked us into going to Pompeii which we originally weren’t going to do. Very knowledgeable, and kept our 4 kids engaged, as she was very energetic. She knew exactly where to enter Pompeii and how to avoid the large tour groups. We got right in, and went the “back” route to avoid the crowds. Pompeii was amazing.
We then went to Napoli, and explored a cathedral, and walked around the town. She took us to a local pizzeria, and got our kids into the kitchen to watch how the pizza was being made. It was amazing pizza!
In every other city on our trip we hired a driver and a guide, and I must say that this was one of the nicer vans, better drivers, and better tours that we did. I would use this company again in a heartbeat.

On The Ground With A Local Makes A Difference
I have navigated my way around Naples on several previous visits but on this occasion I thought I’d indulge in a guide to take me to off-the-beaten-track attractions and eateries.
Best call of the year!
Enter Fiorella. Informative, entertaining and recognised my companion and I wanted to maximise our 7-8 hours. Several coffee stops to take espresso the Napolitan way. sweets from famous Gay-Odin, Pizza al Forno from Da Matteo, back street Caravaggio’s…
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Fiorella and Vesuvius v Pompeii Tours to visitors. In fact I would engage her again when next in Naples.

First hand experience of Naples’ food and markets by local and well familiar with guide
Half day guided tour by Roberta Meomartini was a real tasty and introduction of the local food sites, specialties and traditions of the culinary aspects of Naples. Fun and worm instruction turned the visit into remarkable one.

Feel special for the day!
My husband and I recently visited Naples for a short break for my husbands birthday and I wanted to do something a bit special on his actual birthday. I wanted to avoid crowds and hassle and organised a tour with Alex’s help. The day was superb and worth every penny. Picked up promptly by Marco and driven in a comfortable Mercedes to Mt Vesuvious. Marco made the whole visit easy stopping straight outside the ticket office and driving us to the start of the walk. We made our own way to the top of the volcano – spectacular. Marco was waiting at the bottom and as we had a bit of time before lunch he whisked us off to a coral factory which was an unexpected extra and very interesting.
Alex had helped me organise a restaraunt for lunch and it was lovely – the President in Pompei. They could not have made us feel more special with a special welcome dish from the chef and an informative description of all the local breads. Excellent.
After lunch Marco was waiting and he took us to meet our guide for the afternoon – I cannot recommend highly enough. She whisked us past the big tour groups and brought the past to life with her vivid descriptions of life before the eruption. No waiting in big queues and your very own guide to answer every question and take a photo when needed. I cannot recommend highly enough – not cheap but worth every penny. The day finished with Marco dropping us at the hotel door. Tired after an outstanding day. An email from Alex the following day just to check we had enjoyed ourself was a lovely touch.
